Sub-Processors

These are the outside services that process data on MarginHawk’s behalf so the app can run. Each sees only what it needs. This list may change as the app grows; we’ll update it here.
Current sub-processors
Supabase
- Purpose:
- Database, sign-in/authentication, and receipt file storage.
- Data it sees:
- Your account details, all the business data you enter, and receipt images.
- Location:
- United States.
Vercel
- Purpose:
- Hosts the MarginHawk website and app.
- Data it sees:
- Request logs and IP-level metadata needed to serve pages securely.
- Location:
- United States.
Resend
- Purpose:
- Sends account emails, such as your sign-in link.
- Data it sees:
- Your email address and the contents of those account emails.
- Location:
- United States.
Google (Gemini API)
- Purpose:
- Reads the text off a receipt photo when you use receipt scanning.
- Data it sees:
- The receipt image you choose to scan and the text extracted from it.
- Location:
- United States.
Payments
There is no payment processor yet — MarginHawk is free during the beta and charges nothing. When paid plans launch, the processor will be added to this list and to the Billing & Refund Policy.
